OxyGuard PWS 24 VDC power supply for OxyGuard 8 Systems
The OxyGuard PWS is a power supply designed for use with the OxyGuard 8 multichannel unit. It can be used for other purposes demanding a rugged, totally enclosed power supply. The PWS is built up in the traditional manner with a 50/60 Hz transformer, rectifier, capacitor and voltage regulator. The aluminium casing is also used as a heat sink for the regulator.
A 24 VDC emergency supply can be connected. If there is a mains failure the output of the PWS will be switched to this emergency supply automatically. The switch is effected by a relay, and a brief interruption in the output will occur. This can be used to trigger an alarm.
